Pipe Fitter

Pipe fitters specialize in the fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of piping networks designed to transport various fluids (water, gas, steam, chemicals). They work with various materials such as steel, stainless steel, copper, or plastics like PE, PB, PVC, G+F, following plans and technical specifications to ensure installations are watertight and safe.

Responsibilities

  • Studying Construction Plans: Analyzing the network plans, materials to be used, and weld types.
  • Assessing the Work Scope: Dismantling, cutting, and possibly replacing specific components.
  • Preparing Pipe Components: Cutting and grinding pipe components to required chamfers, bending, and bolting according to assembly standards.
  • Inspecting Completed Components: Ensuring that all components meet the required standards.
  • Conducting Tests: Performing commissioning tests to verify proper installation.

Requirements

  • Ability to analyze isometric drawings.
  • Proficient use of power tools.
  • Knowledge of pointing welding techniques.
